Be there for Someone

Be there for someone

…Because we belong to each other.

In Christ we are one. We belong to each other. We live for each other. We pray for each other. We support each other. We help each other. We believe better things of each other. We look out for each other. These are what make us one in Him.

We don’t all have to worship under the same place or belong to the same denomination before we call each other, brothers or sisters.

Of course, we can and do fail or disappoint each other, once in awhile, but still we belong to one another. We owe it to each other to forgive and to tolerant each others shortcomings, while trusting GOD that we will all grow up into maturity; where we don’t need to disappoint or offend each other anyhow, anymore.

As you prepare to enter the new year, purpose in your heart to open up to the brethren. Forgive those that hurt you and disappointed. Whatever has been done against you cannot be compared to what you probably had done against the Lord; but he forgave you. So please, let go of the offence and let go of the brother or sister that offended you. If you have received mercy of the Lord, please show mercy to others; to that brother or sister. As you grow in the things of God, you will come to understand that people, many a times, people don’t fail or disappoint, because they want to. Circumstances could hinder them from living up to their word. This understanding will help you to show mercy.

King Solomon said, “Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart: so shall thou find favour and good understanding in the sight of God and man“. Prov. 3:3&4

Mercy is treating people, not according to the measure of offence they committed. It is letting them go, in spite of what they did or said. Mercy is active forgiveness. You can decide to revenge, to take a pound of flesh, as it were; instead of doing that, you can let them go, with no strings attached.

2020 has traumatized many households; for many in the Body, things have been tough, in different directions. Yet many people got major breakthroughs this year. Whatever is your story, we still belong to each other.

As we prepare to enter 2021, please prepare to reach out to other brethren. Choose to bless the people of God beyond those in your immediate local denomination. Be a global Christian. Prepare to support other brethren who are engaged in kingdom assignments beyond your denominational church .

Wherever the good work of God is going on, let your heart reach out to such a place. We belong to each other, and we are all in the Father’s business of kingdom expansion. Let’s decide to encourage each other unto good works as the day of His appearing approaches.

Be there for someone in the coming year and see how God will prosper and expand us. May the Lord engrace you, in Jesus name.
